This Invitation
for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project
that appeared in the "ADB Business Opportunities",
issued on 27th October 2006.

The
Islamic Republic of Pakistan has requested a loan from the Asian
Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Power Transmission
Enhancement Investment Program, and it intends to apply part of
the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Procurement
of 220 kV Transmission Line Material. |
| 3. |
The
National Transmission and Dispatch Company now invites sealed
Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement of 220 kV & 132
kV Transmission Line Towers in one lot given below. The bidder
may quote for the complete Lot. |

International
competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's
Single stage, one envelope procedure and is open to all bidders
from eligible source countries. |
| 5. |
Interested
eligible Bidders may obtain further information from National
Transmission and Dispatch Company and inspect the Bidding Document
at the address given below, from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. |
| 6. |
The Bidding
Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested
Bidders w.e.f 31st October 2008, on the submission
of a written application to the address below and upon payment
of a nonrefundable fee Rs. 12,000/- or US $ 150/-
The method of payment will be by Bank Draft from any Scheduled
Bank* of Pakistan in favor of CE (MP&M) NTDC, 622- WAPDA House,
Lahore. The document may be collected in person or may be sent
by express airmail for an additional fee of Rs. 8,000/-
for domestic delivery or US$100/- for
overseas delivery, the documents may be sent by courier services.
No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. |

Bids must
be delivered to the above address at or before 11:00 am,
on 15-01-2009. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid
Security as per following: |

Late bids
shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the
Bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address .below
at [11.30 am on 15-01-2009].

The
National Transmission and Dispatch Company will not be responsible
for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with
the preparation or delivery of Bids. |

In the comparison
of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in
accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Instructions
to, Bidders.
