National Transmission and Despatch
Company (NTDC), a corporate entity constituted after restructuring
of WAPDA intends to purchase Transmission Line Material mentioned
in clause 2 below for 500kV HUB-NKI(Circuit-I) and HUB-JAMSHORO
(Circuit-II) through open tender financed under NTDCs Own Resources
on the basis of International Competitive Bidding (ICB) |

2a. |
NTDC(WAPDA) invites sealed bids from the
manufacturers/suppliers for supply of the following material from
any country except those which are subject to boycott in accordance
with the laws of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. |

2b. |
The successful bidder will have to supply
the goods/material within a maximum period of 150 days for material
offered on FOB basis and 180 days for material offered on CIF
and C&F Karachi/Ex-works in Pakistan basis and 210 days for
material offered on FCS basis, counted from the date of opening
of the Letter of Credit provided the Contractor provides all necessary
documents required for opening the letter of credit within 14
days of the signing of Contract. Further for FOB/C&F/CIF delivery
the date of Bill of Lading will be treated as the delivery date. |

3. |
The Supplier/manufacturer must have, at least
5 years experience of manufacturing/supply of identical goods/material
with same or higher rating and capacity and 3 years satisfactory
operational experience of such goods/material. The bidders, who
are not manufacturers themselves, shall furnish an authorization
from the concerned manufacturer to submit a bid for supply of
their goods to Pakistan against this tender. Moreover, the manufacturer
should have manufactured/delivered reasonable quantities of each
goods/material to the customers. Non submission of evidences may
render the bid non responsive. |

A margin of price preference to the eligible
domestic bidders will be applicable in the evaluation of bids
as laid down in the bidding document. |

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased on the
submission of a written applicable to the above address and
upon payment of a non refundable fee of Rs. 8,000/-
The bid prices ( in Pak Rs.) shall be firm and final and no
escalation due to variation in costs of labour, material and
any kind whatsoever shall be allowed.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security
of not less than (2%) of total Bid Price and must be delivered
to the above office on June 20, 2009 at 11: 00 A.M. Bids will
be opened on the same day in the presence of Bidder’s representatives
who choose to attend immediately at 11.30 Hrs. |

8. |
The sale of the bidding documents shall start
from 18/05/2009. |
|
9. |
The bidders must quote for one ore more complete
LOT. Bid covering only a part of LOT will be rejected. |
10. |
NTDC reserves all its rights regarding rejection
of Bids as defined in Clause 33(1) of PPRA Rules-2004. |
